Whether you’re moving, renovating or preparing for storage, we can help organise the boxes and packing materials you need. This can include a range of cartons, butcher’s paper, bubble wrap, tape and other protective materials.
Depending on your location, boxes can be delivered directly to your home and collected once you’ve finished unpacking. Boxes may be available to hire or purchase, and we’ll help you work out the right quantity and sizes for your move.
If our MovingHouse team is packing your home, we can organise the materials for you as part of the service – so everything is ready when the packing team arrives.
✓ Allow a few extra cartons — it’s better to have some left over than run out halfway through packing.
✓ Label every carton clearly with the room it belongs in at your new home. This makes moving and unpacking much more efficient.
✓ Pack heavier items in smaller cartons and lighter items in larger cartons to keep boxes manageable and safe to move.
✓ Use clean packing paper rather than newspaper for crockery, glassware and other items that may mark.
✓ Keep an essentials box separate with the things you’ll need straight away, such as keys, chargers, toiletries, medications and basic kitchen items.
✓ If you’re hiring boxes, avoid writing directly on them and take care when removing tape so the cartons can be returned in good condition.
